How do I apply LipSense®?
It does take a little getting used to, but after about the third time you use it, you will have it down to a tea!
Top Tip: Do not press your lips together until you have applied your gloss!
LipSense® products must be applied to clean, dry lips - that also means no foundation. Before applying the lip colour, for a more defined, finished looked, use LinerSense® - our beautiful lip liner is available in colours that blend with all the LipSense® colours. Apply LinerSense® onto the sable brush, and begin application to the outer corner of your lower lip, moving the color in one direction. Repeat this process for the upper lip.
LipSense® and LinerSense® need to be shaken horizontally prior to application.
LipSense® Liquid Lip Colour is applied by using a layering technique. Follow the natural shape of your lips, starting at the corner of your mouth. With one continual stroke, apply one layer of colour to the bottom lip then one layer of colour to the top lip. Avoid the temptation to go back and forth over your lips at all costs!
If your lips are dry, you may experience a slight tingling sensation. This sensation will cease upon the application of the Moisturising gloss and will subside completely afer a few days of properly moisturising your lips with the Moisturising Gloss.
Allow LipSense® to dry completely before applying the next layer. It is not recommended to apply more than three layers of colour. Between each layer of colour, do not press the lips together. You may press the lips together after the Moisturising Gloss has been applied to the last layer of lip colour.
Let each layer set for a few seconds before proceeding to the next. When you have completed the application of the third layer of color and the color has set, apply one of the Moisturizing Glosses over the final layer.
You can choose to apply just one layer for a sheer look, two layers for a little more colour or three layers for that absolutely perfect pout.
You can use one colour for your first layer and another colour for your second layer, or three different colours. They are your lips and you can layer them however you like for that unique colour that is you.
